The Whiskey Lullaby Impact Program exists to tell the stories that deserve to be heard.
Every other month we profile a veteran or first responder whose continued service is making a difference in their community. Some of these heroes partner with us on limited-edition apparel, where a portion of sales directly supports their work. Others are featured through storytelling and community awareness alone.
Every story strengthens the thread that connects service members, first responders, and the communities they protect.
Some stories hit you harder than others.
Brandon Griffith’s story is one that stayed with me.
At 26 years old, while serving as a SWAT officer in peak physical condition, Brandon collapsed at home from sudden cardiac arrest. He was clinically dead for over 16 minutes. His wife immediately began CPR, a responding officer stepped in, and paramedics eventually revived him with a defibrillator. What could have been the end became a powerful second chance.
Today, Brandon continues to serve as a deputy with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. He’s a skilled instructor, former EMT, and the founder of Griffith Blue Heart, a nonprofit dedicated to preparing, training, and equipping law enforcement officers for critical medical emergencies — cardiac arrest, severe bleeding, overdoses, and more.
Through his work, Brandon delivers hands-on, high-stress training in hands-only CPR, AED use, and rapid intervention. His commitment to this mission recently earned him the Distinguished Service Award at the 2026 National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame, a well-deserved recognition of his dedication to saving lives within the law enforcement community.
As the owner of Whiskey Lullaby, Brandon’s story resonates with me deeply. I live with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, so I understand how fragile life can be and how much a second chance really means. His resilience and decision to turn his survival into service for others inspires me and reminds me why this brand was created — to support people who keep showing up and protecting their communities despite the battles they’ve faced.
“Earn Each Day” is more than a motto for Brandon. It’s the way he lives his life. After receiving an incredible gift, he chose to give back by helping equip those who run toward danger every single day.
Brandon is the perfect person to launch our new Whiskey Lullaby Impact Program. His journey is a powerful example of turning hardship into lasting impact, and we’re proud to help amplify his mission.
